PROTOTYPE FOR AN AERODYNAMIC SCULPTURE

Prototype for an Aerodynamic Sculpture is a series of drawings and studies of airfoils, focusing on the reproductive aesthetic which characterizes their design optimization. "Breeding," "families" and overt references to sperm and masculinity are regularly invoked in original drawings by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). Prototype for an Aerodynamic Sculpture asks whether a new standard for speed could be developed; not from the phallus, but from minimalist sculpture.
